The welfare of our veterans is a matter of utmost importance. Recent studies suggest that an average of 40 to 44 veterans commit suicide on a daily basis. VA’s claim of 23 suicides a day is highly problematic as it only counts suicides by gun and not others. As the sole government agency mandated by congress to ensure veterans have an easier transition, VA needs to be held accountable for this issue. The deficiencies found by VA OIG are worrying and reflect the need for prompt action to alleviate the woeful appointment waiting time. As members of the healthcare profession, it is the ethical responsibility of medical personnel to report abusive practices they observe and ensure proper treatment for victims. Therefore, it is crucial that staff at the VA is dedicated to providing quality care and adheres to established ethical guidelines. By upholding these standards, the VA can potentially reduce PTSD cases and continue to honor the service of our beloved veterans.

I appreciate any true effort to reduce deaths of any kind while being responsible for so many unnecessary deaths due to well documented incompetence. If VA truly wants to reduce Veteran deaths, quit ignoring the Mission Act. Moses said it best 5000 years ago, “LET MY PEOPLE GO!” VA obviously can’t take care of all the Veterans, I suggest that VA can keep the 2 or 3 Veterans out of 18+ million that like VA, and let the rest of get modern medical in ethical medical institutions. They are not allowed to have secret policy manuals behind a password protected website. How can Veterans hope to comply with secret policies? Have you never heard of Transparency or Freedom of Information? I know VA hires the bottom of the barrel applicants. You hire known drug abusers that have failed background checks. You kill more Americans than all the other countries of the world COMBINED. Have you no MORALS? Disgusting reprobates.
Just stick to illegals that the legislation that created you also FORBID VA from treating non-Veterans. Please note, I did NOT include Oracle Cerner EHR, the Veteran Killing software VA is trying to use to institute BIG BROTHER, giving everybody in the government access to all Veterans psychiatric and other files that need protection. Your frigging Agency needs defunding because thats the only Veteran lives can be saved by real medical personnel.
